R ead these instructions fully before attempting to transfer an Easysoft license. Make sure you send us the details we require in the format we require, otherwise our automated license generation system won't be able to process your request.
If you want to run Easysoft software on your old and new machine concurrently for a short transitional period, obtain a trial license for your new machine.
To transfer an Easysoft license, we need your old license key and the machine number for your new machine. If the machine on which your old license key was installed is no longer available, contact the Easysoft Licensing team () and we'll send you the appropriate instructions.
Your old license key is located on the machine you're transferring the license from. The key is present in the file licenses
. By default, licenses
is located in /usr/local/easysoft/license
. If your Easysoft software was installed in a non-default location, licenses
is located in $EASYSOFT_ROOT/license
.
To obtain the new machine number, run the licshell
program on the new machine:
cd /usr/local/easysoft/license
Or, if your Easysoft software is not installed under the default location (/usr/local
):
cd $EASYSOFT_ROOT/license
./licshell
Select the product you want to license from the list. The machine number is displayed. For example:
Retrieved site information number is xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
Your site information number is your machine number. We only require the machine number, and so you can exit the licshell
program at this point by entering CTRL-C.
When emailing your request to , specify "License Transfer" in the subject line.
In the email body, send your details in the following format:
New Machine Name: (This is for your reference only.) Easysoft Product: New Machine Number: Old License(s):
If you're transferring a license for more than one product, include the name and target machine number for each product. For example:
New Machine Name: (This is for your reference only.) Easysoft Product: New Machine Number: Easysoft Product: New Machine Number: Old License(s):
If you're transferring license keys from multiple machines, send multiple requests to ; one email for each machine.
Trial licenses last for 14 days and can be obtained at any time on the Easysoft web site:

The trial license key is sent by autolicense@easysoft.com
to the email address you specified when registering on the Easysoft web site. If you use a mailbox protection service to block unwanted emails, add autolicense@easysoft.com
to your email safe sender list to ensure that you receive the email. Alternatively, check your junk or spam folders in your email client if you don't receive the license email.
