Some ODBC drivers are not thread-safe, and, by default, the Easysoft JDBC-ODBC Bridge Server for Windows runs multi-threaded. This can give rise to a whole host of intermittent and peculiar errors. You should make the JDBC-ODBC Bridge Server run in multi-process mode, so that there is only ever one thread at a time in the ODBC driver.
To make the JDBC-ODBC Bridge Server run multi-process instead of multi-threaded, open up the JDBC-ODBC Web Administrator:
http://my_server:8031
Select the Configuration screen, and then click Change. Before the Change screen loads, you will have to enter the Administrative user that you entered during the install. Check the multi-process box and click Submit to save the change.
Drivers we have encountered that it is best to set the JDBC-ODBC Bridge server to run multi-process for are: Microsoft Access, Freedom Intelligence and Navision.
